"Bewitched" was a program that ran on ABC from 1964 until 1972. It was produced and distributed by Screen Gems, the television subsidiary of Columbia Pictures, whom also produced other programs like "I Dream Of Jeannie," "The Partridge Family" and "The Monkees." To animation enthusiasts, they were the first television distributor of Hanna-Barbera's animated TV series. Hanna-Barbera even animated the intro that plays at the beginning of every episode of "Bewitched."

To anyone familiar with "Bewitched," you already know what the premise of the show is, so I don't really need to go into detail about what the show is about. That being said, this rendition of the theme works greatly. Darrin and Samantha Stephens despite their obvious differences, clearly love each other, and De Vol's rendition invokes these feelings of love and affection. It's slow, it's silky, sensual even. It perfectly encapsulates the feelings of a shared between one man and one beautiful witch.

This track was what introduced me to this album in the first place, and it's hands down my favorite of the 12 overall tracks that make up the entire LP. I knew I had to get it. Stereo copies were unfortunately hard to come by, but I was able to snag a copy last year, making these direct vinyl rips possible.

This great rendition of the "Bewitched" theme is included in the De Vol LP "The Theme From Peyton Place And 11 Other Great Themes," which was released on the ABC-Paramount label (ABCS-513) in 1965.
