Apprenticeship in Japan: The Parts of a Japanese Timber Frame

An update on the Little Lights project 2 weeks after the raising. We have installed the sills and sub flooring and the plasterers are getting started. In this video I walk through the structure and point out the different structural elements of a traditional Ishibatate Japanese timber frame.
