Central west locals have helped shape the Queensland Cancer Strategy!

Some familiar faces have courageously shared their cancer treatment journeys to put rural and remote patients at the heart of the Queensland Cancer Strategy 2024.

Led by our invaluable Cancer Care team in partnership with Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH), Central West HHS delivers telechemo services, including immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and blood products in Longreach and Barcaldine.

Cancer touches the lives of most Queenslanders in some way. With one in two Queenslanders likely to develop cancer in their lifetime, this can have profound, long-lasting impacts on health and wellbeing.
