Blade Spindle Assembly Replacement Bad Boy MZ Magnum 54” 725cc Zero Turn

Part 3 of my Zero Turn Mower Series.

The spindle assembly on these Bad Boy MZ Magnum 54” 725cc Zero Turn mowers are notoriously weak. They will break long before the shear key can do its job.

The previous owner had broken these multiple times and finally gave up and bought a John Deere.

Nonetheless I got a really good deal on this mower because of it. I’ll just have to be extra careful and pick up rocks I find while mowing or perhaps try to make one out of steel if they keep breaking on me.

This repair took about an hour and didn’t require any special tools. You might need a pipe wrench to complete this job.
