I'm no stranger to this band, but I've not checked out much since their hiatus a few years ago. I'm a massive fan of Cory Wong, and was PUMPED to see them collaborate on this iconic track. I discuss how they altered the original groove into a shuffle (which subsequently birthed a FILTHY bass line that dances around Aron Mellergård's powerful drumming so perfectly), Henrik Linder's mix of traditional slap bass and double-thump, how he uses them in conjunction so naturally, some unexpected discussion on this insane horn section, a thorough breakdown on their style of "jazzy" reharmonization (and some music theory behind it), and much more.
