Welcome to the 2nd enchanting tale off my album Cat In The Dark. 🐱
A very personal story - Jack and Jean from New Plymouth. Their love story blossomed amidst the backdrop of impending war - they fell in love and got engaged before he volunteered for World War Two and left behind his beloved Jean.
My Great Aunty Jean worked as the Cashier at the State Cinema and I'm guessing that is where my PASSION for Cinema started...
Tragically Jack's fate was sealed on his maiden mission.
I poured my heart into the creation of this song, drawing inspiration from my classical roots - weeping violins, violas, mourning cellos, acoustic and electric guitars, piano, Tipani etc...
