How do you make sure you don't let nerves interfere with your competition riding?
This is a super question - nerves probably won't help you in your competition!! Firstly - check in - what pressure have you put on yourself? What expectations have you made around your competition? I am so goal oriented, but when you ask me what my expectations are of competition, it's only to do my best and get the best out of the competition that I can. Of course I set a goal for a certain score - but at the end of the day I can't control what the judges score, I can't control the weather, how the horse feels or what is going on around us!!
