With reports emerging that the construction of Karuma & Isimba dams could grind to a shuddering halt over shoddy work and supremacy fights, the president has now intervened. He has now written a letter to the Energy minister Irene Muloni instructing her to suspend works until the defects on these dams are corrected. However, he says the suspension should only be sanctioned, if it is necessary.
