Few people can claim to have had a ringside seat of the global tech industry like Ludwig Siegele. As a journalist, he has covered the subject since 1995. From the days when Netscape Navigator was launched (remember?), he has written about many life-changing tech milestones. Today, as a top tech guru at The Economist, Ludwig says that "the excitement" he sees "in the Silicon Valley [around ChatGPT] resembles the one from 25 years ago".
