Hi! I bought a Barbie Knit Hits knitting machine, made by Mattel in the 1990s, on eBay — it cost me about $35 and came brand new, in a sealed box. Here's my unboxing and first impressions; I made a basic tube that I fastened off on one end (the curly end) and single-crocheted around on the other end to make a little Barbie dress.

Overall, I was super-impressed and, since making this video, I've been knitting tube-y things non-stop! I've made a few different Barbie outfits for my niece's doll collection, as well as some little kids' socks. I've tried knitting panels a couple of times, but I'm finding that in panel mode, the machine drops stitches pretty easily — also, I'm not really sure what to do with tiny panels!
