Cast Netting here in my HomeState of Florida is insane! I dropped the little Sniper boat into the wild Lake Apopka to get that tilapia hiding under the lily pads. I wasn't the only ones hunting those giant tasty Blue Tilapia, the gators were lurking around every turn in these waters.
In this video, I show why you have to be cautious when net fishing in this region. One of the biggest warning signs is seeing bubbles rising to the surface. We all know that fish don't make bubbles, so they can only come from the giant alligators laying on the bottom
The net did some work on this episode!! Blasted it out there and it the tilapia were running into the side of it, but there was no escape! I will be trying to get you all a net like this at some point, I'm working on getting the nets designed and built, so they will be available for purchase. I want to get as many guys out net fishing as possible, because the tilapia are running rampant on these Florida lakes with hardly anyone hunting them down.
Most cast net fisherman don't venture into these areas because of several reasons: 1st reason is they don't have a net that can handle it - The typical net that people throw here is too heavy and gets jammed with weeds until its unthrowable. The 2nd reason is the large lizards that will rip them off the boat and drag you through the water. The 3rd reason is - They haven't learned to throw a net yet.
Net fishing is the best style of fishing out there!! Get out and throw your net, you are guaranteed to have a good time 🤙
