⚡️ These two cables are "special purpose" for my 24v solar generator. I use 12-2 landscaping wire (from Lowe's) with an Anderson-style connector on one end and solar MC4 connectors on the other end. Instead of "buying" cables like this...DIY made them myself. Because the 12-2 cable has thinner insulation than normal PV feeder cable, I used heavy duty industrial adhesive heat shrink to help weatherproof these cables. I have a 30' one and a 60' one. I have found that 12-2 landscaping wire works quite well as "solar cable" as long as you keep the solar volts higher (and use MPPT solar charge controllers). This minimizes loss...pushing volts through a cable is WAY more efficient than pushing current.
Costs? 12-2 cable is 60 cents per foot, Anderson connector was $6, MC4 connectors about $1/pr, heat shrink (50 cents). So:
30' cable cost to make - $25.50
60' cable cost to make - $43.50

Goal Zero makes somewhat similar cable (that suck) for twice as much.
