This is a homemade tutorial video that I found on a DVD that I made for a student back in 2009. This style is similar to the lick that Luke Kelly used to use although Luke unusually used 3 fingers and thumb as opposed to two fingers and thumb that I demonstrate. Luke is a big inspiration to me and I do not claim that this is exactly the same. it's my interpretation. I don't attempt to mimic, but develop my own style and methods. This lick can be used for other waltz time songs like Black Velvet Band, Come My Little Son etc. Forgive the quality and synchronisation, but it gives the idea.
