A baseboard gives a solid foundation on which to build your model railway. Join me in this video as I build my own N Gauge model railway baseboard out of timber & MDF.

This video should show you how easy and simple it can be to get reasonably quick results to enable you to build your first small layout!

MDF dust is generated through sanding and cutting the wood and is harmful to health - ensure you use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) and work in a well ventilated area. Alternatives such as Plywood may present a safer option
