Monastère de la grande Chartreuse | Explore Grenoble Series

Being in Grenoble, one is always surrounded by mountains! Chartreuse is one of the three mountain ranges nearby. Monastery of the Grand Chartreuse was built 900 years ago!
It is still being occupied by the monks.

I went there with my husband and a good friend to hike on one of the trails around the monastery. It was a surreal experience, being surrounded by lush green alpage, limestone rocks, cows, goats, sheep, horses, chickens! (EVEN ALPACAS but they were too far to be filmed).
