Artists Olivia Johnston and Neeko Paluzzi discuss their 2025 Artists-in-Residence project, “Flower Power”, an immersive exhibition exploring the enduring symbolism of the flower as a Cold War emblem of peace.

Using the familiar floral motif, the artists trace a powerful visual and conceptual thread through two site-responsive installations. The work invites viewers to reflect on the uneasy tension between beauty and destruction, and how this duality has shaped global history over the past century.

“Flower Power” is on display at the Diefenbunker Museum from November 7, 2025 to February 1, 2026.
