Tihany Hungary 2022 Lavender Festival and Lavender Weeks

Dear Visitor, 🙂

Tihany is one of the many cities surrounding Lake Balaton. It is famous mainly for two things: the well-known echo, that inspired numerous poets in the past and the lavender festival. The video was shot during the latter, presenting the lavender fields. People come from many cities to collect the lavender. Some make soap/oil out of it, some give a mild taste to the food using it, some other put it in the wardrobe to repel moths. Visiting the fields is an excellent program for a summer day. 🙂
