Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Effortlessly Add Multiple Pictures to Excel Cells Using Macros.

Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! In this episode, we're going to talk about a great tip for adding pictures to cells in Excel using macros. I received an email from Devin in New York who recently discovered our podcast and was looking for a faster way to add pictures to multiple cells. Well, Devin, and all our viewers, I have just the solution for you!

First, I want to encourage everyone to download the free book that goes along with our podcast. Just go to mrexcel.com/pod600.html and on page 764, you'll find the solution to this problem. Essentially, what you need is a way to link the picture file name to the cell. In my example, I have the file names in column A and the desired height and width in columns B and C.

Now, let's take a look at the code. It's a short and simple piece of code that loops through the specified rows and adds the pictures to the cells using the ADDCOMMENT method. The pictures are located in a folder called C:\PICTURES and the file names are pulled from column A. With just a click of a button, all the pictures are added to their respective cells. It's much faster and more efficient than adding them individually.

As a bonus, I wanted to share some pictures from my recent trip to Trinidad. I had the pleasure of doing some seminars there and someone suggested I do a podcast from the beach. While I couldn't do that, I did bring back some amazing pictures, including one of an 800 pound leatherback turtle laying her eggs on the beach. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
