The Latin Quarter is the oldest student district, which grew up around the University of Paris. This district is characterized by a special atmosphere - cozy narrow streets, full of shops and cafes, as well as many other attractions, the central one of which is the Sorbonne. The Latin Quarter is famous for its narrow old streets, bistros, bookstores and cozy cafes (like the famous Cafe Procope). Due to the large number of tourist attractions, such as the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Cluny Thermes and the Museum of the Middle Ages, the Latin Quarter is a favorite place for tourists. Because of this, rent has risen sharply and only a few modern students can afford to live in the Latin Quarter.
