2nd Alarm: Fire in the attic of duplex - 316 Williams Street, Slatington, PA.

Lehigh County 911 received a report of smoke coming from the attic of 316 Williams Street. The adjoining home at 314 was the caller. At 5:18AM, the box was transmitted for the house fire sending Engines 24, 29, 9, 6, Norco 47, Quint 24 & 29, Rescue 11 (F.A.S.T.) and Medic 67.

Police unit 606 arrived and reported a working fire. Assistant Chief 24 struck the second alarm.

Crews stretched two hand lines into 316 while Ladder 24 vented the roof. The fire eventually burned through the roof as the interior crews were getting a hit on the attic.

I believe no one was home at the time of this fire. A second alarm destroyed a home just a few blocks to the east on Tuesday.
