Origin of Indicas
Generally agreed that it originated on the Asian subcontinent or possible in the Afghanistan region
Whether Cannabis Indica and Cannabis Sativa are truly separate species is a matter of debate.
Since this classification is based on morphology the general plant behaviors is what is being compared.

Indica Plant Morphology
Height Small plants growing to 1-6ft tall
Internode spacing typically 3” or less
Wide leaf morphology
Leaves tend to be a darker shade of green
Tend to have more side branched than Sativas resulting in wider and bushier plant morphology
Overall denser plants

Popular Cultivation Locations
In general the in-between (Goldilocks) plant morphology compared to others increases the flexibility of locations it can be used effectively.
Great for growers looking to have quick turn overs between growing cycles.
Still photoperiod dependent so outdoor plantings be aware
