Null Hypothesis Significance Testing (NHST) Framework

Описание к видео Null Hypothesis Significance Testing (NHST) Framework

The NHST framework is one of the most popular modern frameworks for statistical inference. It evolved as a strange fusion of Fisher's p-values and Neyman-Pearson's hypothesis testing approach, truly satisfying neither camp (and, honestly, leading to our subtle, but confusing, framework for much of frequentist analysis today). This lecture discusses NHST, the framework we will use for most of the rest of the semester.
