You're probably using the wrong time frame. When I first started Day Trading I was using the 1-minute time frame which drove me insane. There's too much price action happening on the 1-minute time frame and it's too much of a distraction. What I've found from my six years of day trading is that you're much better off zooming out a bit. I use the 2-minute time frame as opposed to the 1-minute time frame to be able to cut the volatility that you would typically experience on a 1-minute candle in half. However, I recommend that when you're day trading you try to use the 5-minute time frame, the 15-minute time frame, and the hourly time frame. I know that part of day trading also involves technical analysis.

For technical analysis, I absolutely love looking at the daily and weekly time frames in addition to the aforementioned time frames. All I care about is reducing the emotion you experience when day trading, and I know that removing the 1-minute time frame from your life will really help with that.
