Nick Skelton is a former British show jumper who ended his successful career on April 5, 2017 at the age of 59. He started riding at the age of 18 months and won an individual gold medal and two team silver medals at the 1975 European Junior Championships. Skelton took part in the European Show Jumping Championships for 26 years and won a total of nine medals, including three gold medals. He achieved his greatest successes at the Olympic Games: in 2012 he won team gold for Great Britain, and in 2016 he won the individual gold medal with his horse Big Star. Shortly after the 2016 Olympics, Skelton retired with Big Star. 🏇🏻🏅
