Dinesh Rawat, Assistant Professor of Botany at Pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma Campus located in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, explains that Apricot is known as Prunus armeniaca in botanical science and as Khubani or Khumani in common language. An almond-like seed is found inside the apricot kernel, eating which has its own benefits. This fruit contains abundant amounts of nutrients. Along with this, abundant amount of dietary fibers are found in apricots, which protect us from many diseases.


उत्तराखंड के ऋषिकेश में स्थित पंडित ललित मोहन शर्मा परिसर के वनस्पति विज्ञान के असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर दिनेश रावत बताते हैं कि खुबानी को वनस्पति विज्ञान में प्रूनस अर्मेनियाका के नाम से और आम भाषा में खुबानी या खुमानी के नाम से जाना जाता है. इसके फल से लेकर बीज तक को खाया जा सकता है. खुबानी की गुठली के अंदर बादाम जैसा बीज पाया जाता है, जिसे खाने के अपने फायदे हैं. इस फल में भरपूर मात्रा में पोषक तत्व पाए जाते हैं. इसके साथ ही खुबानी में भरपूर मात्रा में डाइटरी फाइबर्स पाए जाते हैं, जो हमे कई सारी बीमारियों से बचाते हैं.
