Padmini's mother asks Gandharvsen, the king of Singhaldweep, to allow Ratansingh to marry Padmini. Padmini takes Ratansingh for a visit to the empire. Meanwhile, a messenger informs that the king has invited them to the palace. The king asks Ratansingh to play Chaupad (a game of dice) and bets with him over Padmini. Will Gandharvsen allow Ratansingh to marry his daughter?
