I shot this video in the workshop of Postler GmbH on September 7th, 2012.
The Posters warmly welcomed us and Master gem carvers of Postler GmbH showed us the way they carve beautiful cameos out of agate and told us many fascinating things on the art of gem carving then. I was deeply impressed with their works and craftsmanship which have been pursuing the best quality and incomparable beauty from generation to generation in Idar-Oberstein. I think I would like to convey this valuable experience to someone who is interested in it by this video. I hope that everything I saw reaches you and I’m glad that you enjoyed it.
