Coach USA / ONE Bus Route 24B Ride: 2013 NABI 416.15 6547 from Orange (Erie Loop) to Jersey Gardens

Footage of 2013 NABI 416.15 / 40-SFW 6547 operating on former Coach USA's ONE Bus Route 24. The 24 was a route operated by the Coach USA ONE Bus affiliate until October 7th, 2023. Service operated as the 24A and 24B, with the notation indicating the different route paths taken in Orange and Elizabeth. The 24B runs along more of Main Street in Orange, and Harrison Street. It also takes Jersey Street and 3rd Street in Elizabeth. The 24A takes Scotland Road in Orange, and runs along Elizabeth Avenue and 1st Street in Elizabeth. The wheelchair lift on this bus was not working, and thus the operator had to leave wheelchair riders behind to wait for the next bus.

The 24 has since been taken over and operated by NJ Transit. Several weeks prior to NJT Takeover the future of the routes looked uncertain, as ONE Bus said that it would stop running the 24, the 31 (Newark - South Orange), and 44 (Newark - Orange) routes. This followed a service cut enacted eliminating all evening and Sunday service a few months earlier in July. Evening and weekend service was restored on all ONE Bus routes under NJT takeover.

The 24 is supplemented by the 44 between Newark and Orange. They have the same route between Downtown Newark and East Orange along Central Avenue, and both serve Orange. The 44 deviating to serve some of the residential sections to its south, while the 24B serves more of the commercial portions of Orange.
