The 2025 Porsche 911 lineup is undergoing some exciting changes, especially with the introduction of a hybrid powertrain for the GTS model as part of the mid-cycle refresh. While the updated Carrera models, including the hybrid GTS, were unveiled earlier this year in May, Porsche is still fine-tuning other variants.

One such model is the track-focused 911 GT3, which has been spotted in testing at the Nürburgring. Expected to be launched later this year as part of the 2025 lineup, the GT3 is receiving notable updates. Visually, the car will feature redesigned headlights and taillights, consistent with the entire 911 range’s refreshed look. Additionally, the front and rear fascias are expected to offer improved aerodynamics, enhancing the car's already impressive track performance.

The interior will also see some modern upgrades, including a fully digital gauge cluster, aligning it with the latest Porsche models like the Taycan and the recently updated 2024 Cayenne. The digital cluster is expected to provide more driver-focused information and ease of use.

Although details regarding the mechanical updates have not been confirmed, Porsche typically includes a small boost in power with these refreshes. The current GT3 is equipped with a 4.0-liter flat-6 engine that produces 502 horsepower and directs power to the rear wheels. This setup is likely to remain, with the choice between a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.

In addition to the GT3, updated versions of the Turbo, Turbo S, and GT3 RS are being tested. While these models will continue unchanged for 2025, it is expected that their refreshed versions will debut as 2026 models. There is even speculation about a new Turbo S Touring model being added to the lineup.
