From up above the skies of Kongo Bongo Island, an oddly familiar name emerges from the swirling mist, its presence making few wonder: what had happened?

The ghost of Donkey Kong had known, at the height of his power, that this wasn't just some run-of-the-mill mashup that would later disappear into obscurity. The name was a sign of something more ominous, not even along the lines of the Big Bog Monster or Kuhrool. Rather, it was calling for him and his people, to finally get together and reunite for once.

It was truly bizarre, especially at a time of bluster, but the ape didn't seem to mind. It was about time M██████ F███████ would finally realize who it was that he truly needed. After all, it's for paying tribute, as a blast from the past.
