I was asked by a customer to check out and possibly repair a bad wheel bearing on the middle axle of a 40 ton 6 wheel drive John Deere Articulated Rock Truck. After pulling the wheel we see that the axle tube and the hub were destroyed by the inner bearing failure. On the J D trucks the seal flange is part of the axle tube and the hub and are not changeable if there is a serious bearing failure. I had to locate the entire left side axle tube with hub and final drive.
