Shamaring Your Sight

It is important to preserve and guard one's prophetic gifting or sensitivity. There is a need for intimacy with God through intercession and prayer to maintain clarity and avoid falling into divination. The term "shamar" is used to illustrate the concept of protecting one's sight, which involves being vigilant, discerning, and cautious.  It is necessary to maintain spiritual discipline and connection with God to effectively operate in the prophetic realm.
Praise is important to combat attacks on one's identity and to maintain a spiritual perspective. Individual and collective efforts to understand and adhere to God's word form a protective hedge around believers and the Church as a whole. The purpose of prophetic communication is to facilitate understanding between heaven and earth and enable people to know God's will and what to contend for.
