ZWCAD Mechanical features Power Dimension which performs eight dimension features in one command 'ZwmPowerDim' or key 'D'. It implements radius, diameter, or 3 types of linear dimensions as you select arc, circle or line objects. For the linear dimension, it can be a vertical, horizontal, or aligned dimension depending on the direction you drag it towards. It detects the best position where you should place the linear dimension, and it is smart enough to bring up a dialog box with options to let you deal with overlap. This makes the appropriately spaced dimensions look orderly.

Power dimensions enable users to edit dimensions more easily with the abbreviated dialog box that controls and expands only the variables that are relevant to manufacturing. It also integrates tolerance and fit list information. The built-in tolerance manual offers detailed references and lets you select your desired tolerance. There is no need to keep a paper tolerance manual on hand.

There are many more specific dimension features available, such as leader dimension, and chamfer dimension. All dimensions created by ZWCAD Mechanical are standard-based, which means appropriate properties such as color, linetype. Even more, they automatically lay on the correct layer due to the smart Automatic Layer Management feature in ZWCAD Mechanical.
