The Palm Monorail was opened on 30th April 2009 as the first ever monorail system in middle east and runs along the trunk of the "Palm Jumeirah" in Dubai connecting the Gateway station at the entry to the the Atlantis hotel and Aquaventure Park at the far end. It uses a Hitachi Monorail.

How to get the monorail:

This is not yet connected to the metro line.

Option 01: Get down from "Dubai Internet City" metro station (Red line) and take a taxi to the "Palm Gateway" Monorail station.


Option 02: Get down from either "Damac Properties" metro station or "DMCC" metro station and take the Dubai Tram. Then get down from "Palm Jumeirah" tram station. Follow the signs, cross the road and walk through the bridge-way to the "Gateway station".

How to travel by monorail:
Since this is a privately owned property, you cannot use the NOL card here.
You have to buy a ticket from Gateway station paying "only by cash".
It will cost AED 30 for a round trip (from Gateway to Atlantis Aquaventure vice versa).
It allows you to get down from any station (Gatway, Al Ittihad Park, Atlantis Aquaventure) and come back to Gateway station.
