How to Sew Slanted Side Pockets | 40-5 Step-by-Step Sewing Tutorial Part 3

In this video, we guide you through the process of sewing slanted side pockets for your trousers. Slanted pockets are both functional and stylish, adding a sleek finish to your garment … and they are actually so (!) easy!

We'll begin by finishing the edges of the pants pieces with a zig-zag stitch. Next, we'll sew the pocket bag made of lining fabric to the pocket opening, and then understitch it for a clean finish. After ironing the pocket to the inside, we'll transfer the slanted line from the sewing pattern onto the main fabric, sew the pocket bag to the pants, and secure the pocket pieces together. Finally, we'll trim and finish the pocket edges, making sure everything aligns perfectly for the next steps in your project.
