Norman Harold Patterson Jr of www.AbolishAbortionCT.org visited the University of Connecticut School of Law and sought to be more selective about the conversations he engaged in. Many students either could not or would not participate in a respectful dialogue. But when a student named Hanna approached Norman, thanked him for being there, and agreed to talk, a meaningful and substantive exchange followed.

The conversation stands out because it shows what fruitful engagement can look like when someone is willing to reason, listen, and think carefully. And Norman was able to answer confidently—not because of personal insight or rhetorical skill, but because the Christian worldview is grounded in the self-attesting, inerrant, and infallible Word of the one and only self-existing Trinitarian God.

Scripture alone provides the foundation for human dignity, moral clarity, and the abolitionist conviction that every unborn child is a human being made in the image of God. When we stand on that foundation, we can engage any worldview with certainty and compassion.

This exchange is worth sharing as an example of what genuine dialogue can be when someone is willing to think carefully and respectfully.
