A sampler of Kronkel, a labyrinth installation for children, as it was presented at Zinder theater Festival 2013, in the Theater aan het Spui, Den Haag. Produced by NT Jong and the Stella Theater. Created by Marcel Kaars and Cuca Esteves.
'Kronkel' describes the meandering thoughts in the head of Cleopatra Valentino. A girl who escapes from her busy schedule by disappearing inside the labyrinths of her head. The labyrinth is an imaginary world filled with mechanical, like clocks ticking, friends and foes.

But Cleopatra is trapped in the maze. She doesn't dare to go out. She is afraid of the Time Piranhas that scream at her "Do this! Do that!Do this! Do that!", and the Time Monsters, the guardians of the exit, that make a hell of a noise! But she misses the sun, the real people.... So the only way out is by overcoming fear, the fear of having free time.

'Kronkel' beschrijft de kronkelende gedachten in het hoofd van Cleopatra Valentina. Een meisje dat uit haar drukke tijdschema ontsnapt door binnenin haar hoofd in een labyrint te verdwijnen. Het labyrint is een denkbeeldige wereld gevuld met mechanische, als klokken tikkende, vriendjes.
