Feadship has represented the absolute highest standard in yachting for the better part of two centuries – but the world had to wait until 2003 for this storied Dutch shipyard to build its first expedition yacht. That extraordinary vessel was ANDIAMO. Now on the market for just the second time, she has been renamed, if just by a letter, ANGIAMO.

ANGIAMO has the sophisticated design, advanced engineering, and exceptional construction quality for which Feadships are famed. And it’s that, combined with her globe-battling constitution, that distinguishes this boat from all but a handful. She’s built to a Lloyd’s 100 A1 Classification and can easily be brought into MCA class.

ANGIAMO’s groundbreaking design was the work of two industry giants - Doug Sharp (naval architecture) and Glade Johnson (interior). Countless hours of design work were required to make sure that all guests, and the owners in particular, remain exceedingly comfortable while on board. Her full-beam master stateroom, to give an example, is directly over the yacht’s metacenter – permitting a restful night’s sleep on even the most arduous of offshore passages. With three additional double staterooms, neither owners or guests will be lacking in space.

But what sets ANGIAMO apart from other Feadships is her uncompromising ruggedness. It’s the ice-strengthened steel hull, as well as a host of redundant systems, that allow her to explore parts of the globe that would be unthinkable – and profoundly unwise – on any almost other expedition yacht. Her range, driven by twin CAT 3412s, is a “go anywhere” 4,700 nautical miles. ANGIAMO’s two tenders are much like their mother ship – impossibly strong and just as well-suited for the South Pole as the South of France.

ANGIAMO has been maintained to world-class standards (quite literally). Every major mechanical system has received relentless scrutiny, and the entire vessel, without exception, has been treated to the finest maintenance that money and acumen can provide. Her Captain has been aboard for the past 12 years – and takes significant pride in knowing that ANGIAMO is more-than-ready to circumnavigate the globe on barely a moment’s notice.

ANGIAMO’s other notable features include an 8-person hot tub, an industrial-scale full-beam galley – with additional cooking facilities strategically dispersed through the yacht’s three decks – and a Nitrox dive compressor system.

ANGIAMO’s next owner will almost certainly be an individual who is looking for the simple, yet often-elusive “more” – and this yacht delivers that in spades. She is, after all, more pedigreed, more rugged, and more at-the-ready to depart for her next adventure than practically any motor yacht on Earth.
