Inclusive Communication: Bridging Community Gaps Effectively | Jenny Nguyen | TEDxOklahomaCity

What happens when one of our immigrant neighbors who doesn’t speak any English calls 911? Why don’t all emergency response teams have a plan ready for someone who doesn’t speak English? With 45 million immigrants in the United States, situations like this happen all the time. Jenny Nguyen suggests that with a cell phone and a heart, we can bridge community with more effective communication and ensure our neighbors have equal access to help and opportunity.

Jenny is a Vietnamese American and currently serves as the Vice President of the Asian District Cultural Association and board member of the Oklahoma Contemporary Garde. She is passionate about bridging and building community, the exploration of different cultures, and personal wellness.
