🇫🇷 La réputation d'Alexis Didier a depuis bien longtemps fait le tour de la profession. Improvisateur hors-pair, il façonne son univers à la croisée des chemins du blues, du jazz, de la country et du rythm'n'blues. Ce n'était qu'une question de temps pour que cette fine lame apporte sa contribution à notre aventure. Son titre " lagu " évoque à la fois le funk poisseux de la Nouvelle Orléans et le jazz blues des années 70 usiné par Larry Carlton et Robben Ford en Californie. Ce dernier appose justement sa touche à " Lagu ", une façon pour Alexis de " boucler la boucle " en conviant à son banquet guitaristique l'un de ses mentors. Seb Chouard termine la boucle avec un chorus magistral. Lui aussi a enclenché le mode " boost ", rebondissant comme un diable sur le plan final en double-stops de Robben, et développant un chorus " twangy " aussi subtil que malicieux, démontrant toute l'étendue de son vocabulaire. Ces trois as de la Telecaster nous offrent une expérience auditive plus que jouissive que l'on aimerait infinie soutenus par la rythmique " à la Steve Cropper " de Jessie Lee Houllier. La naissance d'un super groupe ? On peut toujours rêver !
🇺🇸 Alexis Didier's reputation is well known for a long time throughout the musical mob. This outstanding improviser shapes his universe at the crossroads of blues, jazz, country and rhythm'n'blues. It was only a matter of time for this gunslinger to make its contribution to the United Guitars adventure. "Lagu", the track he put on the table evokes both the sticky funky vibe from New Orleans and the jazz blues of the 70s crafted by Larry Carlton and Robben Ford in California. The latter adds his touch to “Lagu”, a way for Alexis to “loop the loop” by inviting one of his mentors to his guitar orgy. Seb Chouard ends the story with a masterful solo engaging the "boost mode", bouncing like hell on Robben's final double-stop shot, and developing a "twangy" chorus as subtle as it was mischievous, demonstrating the full extent of his vocabulary. These three aces of the Telecaster offer us a more than enjoyable auditory experience that we would like to be infinite, supported by the “Steve Cropper style” rhythm guitar of Jessie Lee Houllier. The birth of a super group? We can dream about it !
