Padma Shri awardee Wasifuddin Dagar is a solo singer of the Dhrupad genre. In the juke box he renders the melodious Todi raag of the Todi Thaat. Generally sung in the late mornings, the Raag gives a good start to the afternoon. This is followed by another rendering in Raag Todi & then followed by a Gat in Chautala. The Gat is a fully developed but fixed rhythm cycle generally accompanied by the Tabla.
