SCT006 & CF4428 are moving at slow speed through a scenic Midland station, with 5MP9 inbound SCT logistics freighter ex Melbourne, heading for Forrestfield.

Filmed on the opening day of the New Midland station, with some passing freight trains alongside many A series transperth trains in and out.

I took this video alongside ‪@watrainchaser_5‬.

They made this New station opening a really nice experience for everyone, many stalls selling transperth items like stickers, paintings are more.

A sausage stand was positioned at the event to give out Hot dogs and Ice cream to visitors to this event.

You have a long view vantage point from the station, as you can see the freight trains round the bellevue curve before proceeding slow down the straight tracks at midland towards Woodbridge.

Midland now has a lot of random signs and poles so make sure to choose a wise place to film the freights.

The CF class(Second unit) is a great one to get as for the C44ESACI model wearing the Railfirst livery, unlike the SCT and CSR classes which wear an SCT livery.

An update for today covers that a flood has impacted the trans Australian railway line meaning all intermodals have been cancelled due to that being the only line as of today the 23rd of February 2026, they say that it will be at least a week before movements can start back again.
