GREEN WAVES 3 – Part one: QUICK SURFSKATE CUTBACK

Описание к видео GREEN WAVES 3 – Part one: QUICK SURFSKATE CUTBACK

Coach Kook is back with another series of GREEN WAVES – this time focusing on how your hands and arms can TURBO-CHARGE the turns and carves on your surfskate.
In this first of three clips you’ll learn how to perform a quick pivot cutback by keeping your arm in LOW gear.
(Soft and grippy wheels help for this one. I ride 65mm 78a Arbor Easy Riders on Carver C7 trucks and the Arbor Tyler Warren 29”x9,875” deck.)

BREAKDOWN:
1. Start your top-turn with your leading arm dropped behind your hip. When practicing surfing on land I’ve found that it helps to axaggerate the movements, so keep your hand as low as you can, almost touching the ground behind you.

2. Use your hand as a point to pivot around, as you look back at the pocket of ”the wave” behind you. Keep your hand, arm and body low and close to the ground and push hard on your back foot and heels.

3. When you find yourself back in ”the pocket”, raise your front arm to load up for the rebound off the ”whitewater”. Swing around with your head and upper body first and the board will follow.

4. Keep your head up and look ahead for the next section.

Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for part two and three. Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more Surfskate-clips.
