This video introduces what political parties are and their role in our political system. The different types party and of party system (two-party, multi-party etc) are also examined as well as some of the key debates such as whether political parties should be state funded. Designed as an introduction to the political party aspect of Component 1 in A Level Politics. Later videos will explore the parties in detail (this is not done in this video)
