Solar storm will make northern lights visible in Bay Area

For the first time in nearly two decades, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a severe solar storm watch due to intense activity on the sun, sending large amounts of plasma and magnetic waves toward Earth.
