As you listen to this Malayalam song, remember that Christ endured the agony of separation and isolation for our sake so that we need not be pierced by the pain of eternal separation from God. His cry pierced the looming darkness of that time. For the first time in His human life, Christ experienced the excruciating pain of being separated from His Father. So, at the ninth hour (3:00 pm), He cried out with a loud voice, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?". Even though Jesus lived a perfect sinless life, He had to endure these sufferings and die on the cross because He was the substitute sacrifice for our sins. Like the thief on the cross, let us repent of our sins and put our trust in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Come to Jesus Christ; He will redeem, restore and comfort you.
