Before I go into detail about what you are seeing in this video, let me tell you all yet more BS I went through while filming this signal and the trolleys and again, I am so sick of it. So I'm just standing here filming this old 30+ year old trolley signal in action including trolleys passing by and later in the video when I zoomed in on the signal, the moment it went back to green, a person was walking across the tracks looking at me, then right after I end the video, he came around the corner asking me what I was filming. I told him I was filming trolleys and he didn't believe me because he looked at the tracks and saw nothing. Then he accused me of secretly filming people and he threatened to call the police on me while walking off which struck a nerve with me and pissed me off. I then had to say, "Woah, hold on man, are you serious? Okay, you want to know what I was actually filming, I was filming two trolleys that passed by that you didn't see, then filmed a signal here changing colors, and that's when you passed by. I wasn't filming you nor was I filming anyone, now can you leave me alone please?" and that's when he walked off. I keep saying it, I'm always a misunderstood person.

Sigh, anyway about the video. What you see first is an orange line trolley on it's way to downtown San Diego and using these curvy tracks, then you see another trolley behind the trees in the distance coming this way and that's when I filmed the trolley signal going from green to red. This signal was very slow to change, but when you see the signal change to yellow, and then change to green, that's because the trolley is passing more signals further down. When there are no trolleys around, the signal rests on the green light. This is also the very first train signal the orange line trolley operators see after they leave the 32nd & Commercial station. It is also a very lonely signal too because no other signals like this one is near by. Another fun fact is if a trolley were to come and the signal was still red, the railroad crossing signals would actually stay off because the signal is before the crossing and both are synchronized with each other. I never seen it happen here before, but it could in the future.

Also finally, this trolley signal will eventually be gone and replaced with a new LED trolley signal so that's also why I filmed this signal before that happened.
