✅ HOW TO REMOVE STICKY INTERIOR From LOUIS VUITTON POUCHES

Hi YT Friends, in this video I'll show you my easy and ultimate way of removing the sticky vinyl interior from the Louis Vuitton bucket pouch. You can use the same method on other LV bags and slg's that have this same tacky & peeling interior lining. Don't be afraid to pick up a vintage piece that needs a little bit of work. It is fun and you get to add another timeless piece to your handbag/slg collection!

In the 1990s, Louis Vuitton used a vinyl material for the interior lining of some of their bags and accessories. This vinyl lining was often coated with a layer that gave it a glossy appearance, making it resemble leather. However, over time, many owners of these vintage Louis Vuitton items have reported issues with the vinyl lining becoming sticky, peeling, or degrading.

The stickiness and peeling of the vinyl lining are believed to be a result of the breakdown of the materials used in its production. This breakdown can be influenced by various factors, including exposure to heat, humidity, and environmental conditions. As the vinyl ages, the chemical composition of the material can change, leading to the development of a sticky residue on the surface. This stickiness can cause the vinyl to become tacky to the touch and prone to attracting dust and debris.

Louis Vuitton acknowledged the issue with the sticky vinyl lining and offered a replacement service for a limited period of time, allowing owners of affected items to have their bags or accessories refurbished with a new lining. However, this service had its limitations and was often available for a fee.

Dubro 'Ontvetter' Degreasing spray works amazing but unfortunately not sold worldwide.
These sprays look similar to me but keep in mind I've never tried these so not 100% sure they will work the same as the spray I use. Go for the one you think is best and try out on small surface of the interior lining first. Always make sure to remove the product carefully with wipes after to avoid damage to the bag.
