Composer: Antoine Chessex - "Imperial Dissolution"

The Anti-Ensemble is a collective of versatile musicians performing a new work by Antoine Chessex entitled "Imperial Dissolution" in which acoustic instruments and electronics collapse together into an open and monolithic wall of wild frequencies. The Anti-Ensemble takes a critical position towards the mechanisms of power and hierarchy present in today's music. "Imperial Dissolution" underlines the necessity to confront the audience with a radical sonic abstraction that is in permanent tension between the physical, social and political dimensions of sound.
