📖 Story & Significance of Mahakal Mandir:
The Mahakal Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Mahakal means "Lord of Time and Death") and is believed to be one of the most spiritually powerful spots in Darjeeling.
🔱 According to legend, the original site housed a Buddhist monastery (Dorje Ling) built in the 18th century. Later, the temple was established by local people after a Shivalinga appeared naturally at the site.
